Land Acknowledgment
We acknowledge that The Cedar Tree Project's work in Winona, Mni Sota Makoce/MN takes place on the ancestral and traditional lands of the Dakota. These and the surrounding nations remain the original, current, and future protectors of the land on which we stand today. We recognize the colonial settlers took this land through predatory treaties. We honor the histories of this land before colonization and work towards reparations. The Cedar Tree Project commits to investing in continued efforts to acknowledge and support Indigenous artists and community members.
